In their second climate report, Storbildsfabriken demonstrates their commitment to environmental stewardship and sustainability. The report, centered on data from 2023, provides insights into their carbon footprint, emission reduction goals, and strategies for enhanced transparency and accountability. ๐ฟ ClimateHero's Statement: Storbildsfabriken, despite its size, stands out in the large-format printing industry for its steadfast dedication to sustainability. Their commitment is evident through the adoption of scaling up a circular business model. This approach has not only led to a meticulous mapping of their emissions across scopes but also underscores their profound understanding of environmental impact. Moreover, Storbildsfabriken's ambitious targets to reduce emissions throughout their value chain reflect a genuine commitment to driving meaningful change within their industry. Since 2022, the company has demonstrated significant progress in environmental efforts, notably through the adoption of a circular business model and started relocation of production from Asia to Europe. These measures have resulted in a remarkable decrease in their carbon footprint; a 29% reduction compared to the base year (2022), that is driven by a 20% weight reduction in purchased product materials and an 11% reduction in emissions per tonne of product material, showcasing their dedication to sustainability and continuous improvement. ๐ฟ Emissions Reduction Targets: Achieve net-zero carbon footprint by 2040, aligning with the Science Based Target Net Zero standard. Achieve a 60% intensity reduction by 2030* expressed in kg CO2e per MSEK turnover Achieve a 40% intensity reduction by 2025 Targets cover scope 1,2 and 3. The intensity target is expressed in tons of CO2e per MSEK turnover.
