Polestar is leading the electric vehicle market into a greener future, having just released their 2023 Sustainability Report. 🤩🙌☀️ The report showcases a notable 9% reduction in greenhouse gas emissions per car sold, highlighting Polestar's commitment to sustainable growth. Polestar's dedication to innovation and sustainability is evident as they set clear goals and transparently share their progress. With Polestar's batteries under the hood, what is described as the world's most energy-efficient boat, the Candela C-8, has become even sharper. And maybe we'll see a Polestar-designed boat soon. "A conventional boat requires an awful lot of energy, as much as 15 times more per kilometer than a car. If you electrify boats just by replacing the gas engine with an electric motor, you don't get any range, unless you load the boat with so many batteries that it almost sinks. With the airfoil technology, energy consumption is 80 percent lower. Now we have come through a journey that, for example, aviation has not been able to do yet," says Gustav Hasselskog. The batteries from Polestar can also be quickly charged. This means that you can charge the battery from 10 to 80 percent in about 40 minutes. And on the charging front at sea, a lot is happening right now, for example an EU-funded project will deliver 400 chargers between Gothenburg and Kristiansand, and the Norwegian electricity company Eviny (formerly BKK) is building a fast charging network in Norway. More about Candela at https://app.wedonthavetime.org/posts/9748dc8f-35b7-4594-8678-047e57311895 Candela C-8 has been equipped with a battery from Polestar and extended the range by 50 percent. Polestar O₂, the electric roadster concept, doesn’t just exist to create desire . It exists to show that there’s a new paradigm when it comes to the sports car. One that proves that the premium choice, the fun choice, and the sustainable choice are one and the same. https://www.polestar.com/uk/polestar-o2/ https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JrmJSvarBxk

Polestar aims to create a climate-neutral car, called the Polestar 0 project. They want to find and eliminate every single CO2e emission linked to the supply chain: from mining, material refining and production, to overland and sea transportation, rather than simply planting trees to try to offset carbon emissions. The collaboration with SSAB will explore all the possibilities for fossil-free steel, both with the aim to replace conventional steel normally used in cars, as well as to seek to replace other materials that have a significant carbon footprint. “We are leveraging innovation and collaboration to address the climate crisis. We are honored that SSAB will collaborate with us in our endeavors to produce a truly climate-neutral Polestar car by 2030. SSAB is showing the way in manufacturing quality steel without carbon dioxide emissions. SSAB’s innovative solutions will be invaluable in helping us decarbonize our manufacturing processes and the materials we use,” says Thomas Ingenlath, CEO at Polestar.

Hi Polestar. I’ve got an idea for you. How about joining hands with Zipcar in some kind of business alliance, in which Polestar provides cars to Zipcar, which the Zipcar user could then rent/hire with the convenience of the app. Car sharing is on the rise, and a collaboration like this would be good not only for business (Polestar & Zipcar), but also for the users (who would be able to ride a nice car when they need to) and the environment. It would decrease emissions, reduce congestion, and promote the use of electric vehicles. Consumers increasingly feel that transportation is necessary, but owning a vehicle is not. They are therefore moving towards shared mobility options where a car is available on demand without worrying or paying for parking spots. This study https://www.coxautoinc.com/learning-center/2018-mobility-study/ tells all about it. Moreover, cars are parked about 95 % of the time (see: https://www.team-bhp.com/news/study-indian-cars-are-parked-95-time & https://www.reinventingparking.org/2013/02/cars-are-parked-95-of-time-lets-check.html) and are a waste of space that could be well utilized, let's say for urban farming or green spaces. Many of your competitor EV companies are already going in this direction, and an alliance has now been formed between one of these companies and the city of Utrecht in Netherlands. You can read about it here: https://www.electrive.com/2021/04/29/hyundai-we-drive-solar-partners-test-car-sharing-biodirectional-charging-in-utrecht/" Go for it! Kindly /Markusj

All current incentives from governments and the EU are for EV private car ownership, there are currently little or no incentives or tax breaks for Shared Mobility?? or for people to share their car with there neighbors and community, local councils have failed to provide shared mobility as an option as part of the public transport services and have left it to private operators.

There is a great service in the UK called Onto. It allows you to rent an electric car on a monthly rolling basis, charging, insurance tax and maintenance are included in the monthly subscription. My friend has just got a renault zoe for £300 per month 😄 There is another similar service called T4L which @Gravitas_Infinitum have just launched based off of the Tesla fleet
