The climate crisis is also a water crisis. 🌍💧 From rising seas to extreme weather, it's all connected. Yet, water is part of the solution. From soaking up carbon to driving innovative mitigation and adaptation strategies, it's a force to be reckoned with. 💪

Would you also like to compensate for the emissions of the parcel you just received? According to DPD Germany, a package causes an average of 0.6 kg of CO2 *. This is immediately neutralized when you listen to these playlists for about 1 hour (scan QR-code). Do you like this initiative of environmental artists? Would you compensate for the carbon footprint of your parcel? Please write a comment. The first 10 interested companies who write a "climate love" to this post, will receive instructions, a link to the landing page, and a free license to use "sustainable music stickers (or inlay flyers)" for 6 months. In their latest newsletter, stream by stream again published the monthly reforestation figures. This new initiative generated over 330$ in March for reforestation by only listening to cool playlists. Give it a try and imagine what would happen if more people and more artists would join. Spread the word and listen to this cool sound (you can choose your genre out of over 30h of playlist music) and ask your musician friends to participate. Links to your preferred streaming service to help and participate for free are here: https://www.streambystream.com And if you want to stay tuned get this newsletter to support: http://eepurl.com/hAuHDX

MISUMENA: a new artist has joined the environmental cause by donating his streaming earnings to nature. Listen to a few bars of this sound. You will love it as well as all the other tunes of this reforesting initiative. 💚Be sure to check out their music. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qEfpoLQwIrA Misumena is a collaboration between the German producers Deela and Maxey Blaze. Their sound blends ethnic rhythms and melodies with electronic influences of rave, house, and drum bass. They combine melodic rave synths with traditional instruments and infectious polyrhythmic grooves, resulting in an emotive and unique sound. Misumena’s music takes the listener on a journey, exploring the nuances of different cultures and musical styles. Their commitment to pushing boundaries and challenging norms is evident in their innovative approach to electronic dance music. We’re super excited to have Misumena as a new artist on board using their music to give back to nature You can find it in both our „African Sunset“ and „Electro Aperitivo“ playlist! A week ago, Stream by Stream introduced another artist who is planting trees on their playlists. Everyone who listens to their playlist is diverting money from the music industry to reforestation. The artists (like them) are making it happen ... If you haven't tried it yet and stream music, it's a must have. You will like it. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q4IIevFEh1Y Mariska Martina is a Dutch/Peruvian singer-songwriter and cellist, based in London since 2015. Her fresh emotional voice, along with her charming stage presence, make her a performer you instantly fall in love with. Mariska’s original writing is inspired by Norah Jones, Madeleine Peyroux, and Melody Gardot, but in some of her music, you clearly hear the inspiration she gets from her semi-Latin roots and background in classical music. We’re super happy to have her on board and supporting this cause with a third of ALL of her royalties on streaming services 🤩🌲Be sure to check her out on your favourite streaming platform and also in our „Morning Hammock“ playlist 💚 Oh, and of course, don’t forget to leave a follow on @Mariska Heijboer to stay up to date on what she’s up to 🥰.

A new artist - Njerae - is listed with several songs, mainly in our playlists "African Sunset" and "Morning Hammock". Listen to her music as she donates her streaming earnings to our planet Earth and reduces her footprint. We’re super stoked to introduce you to Njerae 😍Njerae is a kenyan born and raised singer songwriter and producer. Her music identifies as Afro-Indie with a touch of RnB and soul. She has performed at Tetrapak international’s 60th anniversary at the Villa Rosa Kempinski in Nairobi and at the Africa Nouveau Festival 2018. She has shared a stage with Aloe Blacc, Just a band, Mayonde, Sage, Jarel and Estelle as a background vocalist for Muthoni The Drummer Queen at Blankets and Wine. Next to her performing career she’s also a founding member of C-KIZA, a forum created for Connection, Creativity and Change among young people. She graduated from Sauti Academy and recently attained her bachelors degree in Psychology from the University of Nairobi. Having been a graduate from Muthoni Drummer Queen’s perFORM music incubator, Njerae has equipped herself with skills in live music performance, marketing and generally being a musical entrepreneur. Njerae has also set a landmark by being nominated as songwriter of the year at People’s Choice awards 2022.Check out her music on your preferred streaming platforms and give her a follow to stay up to date on what is happening at hers 💚Welcome Njerae, we’re more than happy to have you on board with making this world a better place thanks to music ☺️ https://music.youtube.com/watch?v=yUBH77PsYmE&list=RDAMPLOLAK5uy_lg2mcwZpe0MeAVwUa4nuN6fXj109oRveU Learn more about Njerae and stay up to date with the Stream by Stream newsletter: http://eepurl.com/hAuHDX (can be easily unsubscribed at any time)

Here's the latest update on Stream by Stream reforestation. The music industry pays artists royalties just for listening to their environmental playlists. Most of these artists donate these extra royalties to environmental projects and to motivate us to listen more.In December alone, $334 has already been raised to fund reforestation. 🌱🌱🌱 It's still a small amount, but the more this initiative is supported, the bigger the figures will get. All links to the free environmental playlists (Spotify, Apple, Deezer or Youtube) can be found on their website. Support them (if you haven't already) and subscribe to their newsletter on their website: Translated with DeepL https://www.streambystream.com/contact-us/contact

Our year is coming to an end and what a difference you have made together with us. It's incredible and thank you soooo much. In 2022, we were able to fund the planting of 2,822 trees that will absorb (over the next 5 years) over 2.3 million kg of CO2 from our atmosphere. To put that in perspective. Over 1.6 million hours of music streaming can be offset Nearly 400,000 cell phones can be charged once a day for an entire year 423 club concerts can be offset by CO2 absorbed with your help and that of our 8 artists. Pretty cool what a positive impact music streaming can have - and that's just by pressing the play button. And the best part is that this is just the beginning of what we want to create together with you! Imagine what will happen as we continue to grow. In numbers, 71,425 people have joined us on streaming services this year to create a greener, cleaner future! You all streamed participating artists' music over 2.3 million times this year - insane! We managed to raise awareness of our cause to more than 14 million people in 171 countries - let's see if we can motivate them all to join in next year. In terms of growing this initiative, we had a great year. Many people not only heard about us, but also followed us on streaming services to always hear the latest and freshest tracks! Especially in November and December, we saw a massive increase in listeners, so we were able to end the year with the biggest smile possible. We would like to thank you all for helping us achieve our vision of doing something for our environment, making sustainability free, easy and accessible to everyone worldwide and motivating the music industry to become a part of this change. BIG BIIIIG LOVE to all of you and please sign up for our newsletter to stay in touch: https://www.streambystream.com/contact-us/contact

So far, this initiative has made it possible to transfer over 3,400 USD for the forests of our world, thanks to all of you who are already involved! 💚 This money has been raised by streaming the music of all the great artists involved in this initiative. *Citrus Hues *Jonathan Stephen Simons *Lot 49 *Fractals *Hilton *Pepita Grylla *Kayko And these artists love you because they got many new fans. You can listen to this environmental playlist for free on Spotify, Apple, Deezer or on YouTube. Join the community if you haven't already. You can find all the links on their website. I think it's a good idea to combine music and tree planting and at the same time give new artists a platform to spread their music.
