Only 3500 million tons to go... These projects can at best capture 2 million tons a year. The US public should demand that fossil fuel peddlers pay for direct air capture. https://www.theguardian.com/environment/2023/aug/11/us-government-biden-carbon-capture

Greenwashing. The work must start by reducing and entirely avoiding emitting fossil fuel usage

It's a start, but let's get rid of fossil fuels they are still drilling and fracking.

On the back of an envelope I calculated the total size of the energy imbalance caused by our carbon emissions. The Earth is receiving 240 Watts of energy from the sun per square meter of surface. Due to greenhouse gases, only 239 Watts are emitted back to space. NASA's CERES project has confirmed this, the difference is 1 Watt per square meter. Multiplied by the sunward facing surface of the Earth that amounts to 250,000 gigawatts, or 250,000 nuclear power stations, each surrounded by 300,000 three bar electric fires, pointing up at the sky and constantly emitting heat. That's what we're doing to our atmosphere. Will this help people understand the urgency of action?

Minister Zac Goldsmith resigned due to your lack of commitment to environmental action. https://www.theguardian.com/politics/2023/jun/30/zac-goldsmith-resignation-letter-in-full The climate emergency, species at risk of extinction and other environmental measures cannot wait another 18 months for you to leave office. You must change course or stand down so others can take the necessary action do desperately needed.

All of UK's prime ministers have been enemies to progress and Sunak isn't different and that really perturbs.

Zac describes the situation thoroughly. The UK warning seems justified. Thank you Zac for putting it out.

Until, and if, net zero flying becomes possible, increasing air transport capacity increases the speed we travel towards our civilisation's doom. https://www.euractiv.com/section/aviation/news/poland-plans-new-mega-airport-in-warsaw-rails-at-green-hypocrisy/ The Poles have a point about hypocrisy, though. We should immediately enact measures to reduce the number of flights per European to the Polish average.

In total agreement, Air transport is one of the factors we need to address urgently in matters decarbonization. We should deal with the issue first before building more.

We do not expect such unfriendly environmental projects at the moment.

We need to make it socially unacceptable - in the same way as smoking in other people's homes - to burn fossil fuels to cut grass. I've used a 330X to do just that for 7 years, with the mower mostly topping itself up from solar energy from our roof. But your products are twenty times the price of a petrol mower, and the servicing about the same as buying a new petrol mower.
