Ride electric bikes for 35kr a month with Stockholm city's new rental e-bike system

After five long years, Stockholm City's new rental electric bicycle system is finally starting! On May 10, the City of Stockholm launches Stockholm eBikes as a way for the Swedish capital to enable sustainable travel and promote both green mobility and health in Stockholm. The prices are very attractive, 11kr for a day (1 euro), 35kr (3,3 euros) per month / 157kr a year, perfect for tourists, occasional users or people that plan to use them every day to go to work and back. 5,000 electric bicycles will be available in Stockholm as well as 120 electric box bicycles distributed at 300 stations in all parts of Stockholm. The first stage with about 1,000 bicycles and 100 stations will start in May 2022. By the summer, another 1,000 bicycles and 100 stations will be placed. The remaining bicycles and stations will be rolled out gradually during the autumn/winter until April 2023. You can already download the app and check out how it will work and the first map with the stations. The big question is, will 5,000 bikes be enough? 🤔 https://stockholmebikes.se/ https://cykla.stockholm/aktuellt/nyheter/2022/04/stockholms-stad-lanserar-elektriska-lanecyklar/
