About My Business Zeesbake is a baking company that produces and sells flour-based healthy foods. In the year 2018, I decided to venture into the baking and pastry industry due to my passion, and my exceptional skills in making these products. The problem my business is trying to solve includes; unskilled labor, unemployment, unhealthy pastries and cakes, as well as a high cost of purchasing these products, which in turn has an emotional effect on the customers. Zeesbake aims to provide the following solutions Reduce unemployment by training aspiring bakers. Provide tasteful and affordable pastries. Give customers optimum satisfaction and value for their money Produce low-gluten and nutritious products with enormous health benefits. Make beautiful products, as we believe in feeding both the eyes and mouth. My business also supports the UN sustainable development goals 2, 3, 8 and 12 respectively. BUSINESS PROCESS Features & Functionalities Zeesbake specializes in hand-made products made with locally milled flour without flour bleaching agents. We also stand out in producing customized baked products for people with allergies to certain foods such as nuts, diary, and gluten. We offer unique services for special occasions such as weddings and traditional ceremonies, Anniversaries, birthday celebrations, business networking and all other events. How will you produce your business offering? Raw ingredients will be sourced locally twice a month, pastries and cake slices will be made on a daily schedule for both online orders and walk-in customers. Labor and time saving equipment will be utilized to hasten production, while an associate will manage orders both online and over the counter. Pricing Our average product costs includes; Birthday&custom cakes - $36.55 (#18,500) Wedding cakes - $121.83 (#61,000) Pastries - $7.31 (#3,700) Profitability- Profits are made from our product sales. Our customer reach is expected between 1000–1200 persons,with an annual revenue target of $18,500, and a gross profit of $7,737. The Licensing, staffing, equipment, rent, raw materials, power and logistics amongst others cost $10,763. Our gross profit margin is 41.82%. MARKET OPPORTUNITY Target Audience/Customers The value of the Nigerian bakery market is $492,000. Our target customers includes young customers and families interested in pastries and also event organizers. Nigeria has a young teeming population, and our product is expected to benefit at least 1% of that population, which is over half a million customers. Marketing & Sales- My Marketing Plan We engage our new and recurrent customers through various social media channels, by creating advertisements. We would feature in magazines, give out coupons, reward customer referrals, offer taste samples and have bake sales once a month. There are also plans to partner with event organizers to cater their events with our delicious range of products. There would be a feedback form available to our consumers so we can improve in our services, as well as maintaining close relationship with the customers. We aim to purchase branded motorcycles and vehicles to deliver products, which would serve as another means of advertisement. BUSINESS ANALYSIS SWOT Analysis (Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, & Threats)- Our strengths include our team, top-notch equipment and varieties of healthy products ,we have an opportunity to reach a greater customer base by business expansion. The threats we face are stiff competitions, political & economic uncertainties, fluctuating prices. Weaknesses includes high cost of equipment and issues with brand recognition. MY NEEDS Resource Requirements- Zeesbake paramount needs a large space with quality equipment. The needed space would consist of a reception, baking studio and a skill acquisition classroom, while the equipment needed includes a standard industrial oven, food processors, cake display stands, microwave, chillers and power suppliers. We would need about 2 employees for a startup. My business is partly established and would be needing extra funds of about $5,000 to sustain the growth of the business. Building a Team Our team would comprise of well experienced bakers, a manager and a customer service attendant. The manager is well experienced in management and hospitality practices, and he would also have knowledge of how a bakery functions. While the bakers are energetically able to move equipment for strenuous works. My team and I will continually brainstorm on new ideas, while work strategically to promptly meet up customer services more efficiently and effectively. MY PLANS Business Forecasting and Planning- What stage are you and key business achievements? My business have started producing services to customers, we have been existing as a home and online business since 2018. Our key business achievements over the past few years has been the ability to build a small customer base who solely trust in us and our ability to handle their events and services. We have been able to purchase few basic equipment (mini cake and dough mixer and Small sized electric oven) for the production of our services. We have so far been able to attend few cake workshops and exhibitions to expand our knowledge and also meet and interact with other bakers. We can proudly say that we have handled over 25 events where our products and services were highly appreciated and acknowledged. What are the next steps for your business? Y1 Q1: Register Company and procure license, rent space for company operation, partner with a courier company for logistics, begin branding. Y1 Q2: Recruit staffs, Purchase operational equipment, online and offline marketing, begin production. Y1 Q3: Continuous marketing, sold our products to 300 customers. Y1 Q4: Sold our products to 500 customers, acquired a revenue of $9250 or the year end. Y2 Q1: Enroll myself and the workers in productive training, seek extra funds for company expansion. Y2 Q2: Relocate to a bigger facility to contain company growth, launch our training academy for enthusiasts and to also increase our workforce, employ staffs skilled in finance and business management. Y2 Q3: Continuous marketing, acquire better machineries to ease production, become a top baker in my local space. Y2 Q4: Sold our products to 20,000 customers, acquired a revenue of $18,500 for the year end, open new branch in a different location.
