The office of the head of state has great influence in making polices and procedures to favour climate change organisations, Currently the organisation around are poorly funded and not recognised. A lot of young people are aware of the changes in climate and with little empowerment from the Government can really motivate organisation such as We don't have time Kenya chapter, The greenbelt movement among others. The president should arrange a roundtable meeting with officials of this group's and see how best they can work with different organizations working in different areas on matters conservation

A policy should be in place to have each student enrolling in a school to plant a tree or two and take care of it till they graduate from their various programs. This will facilitate an educational model towards environment and also nature the culture of tree planting within generations to come. The ministry of Environment should inturn provide sustainability model to have all tress planted taken care of The young people should be motivated to it in them to take care of their environment

This is a great idea. I wonder if this is something that should be expanded so that there was at least one per year even in NA city school. Food for thought!

Most of Africa house holds produce waste products that can be recycled if well managed. We don't have to liter our homes when we can best dispose and manage waste that we produce in our daily activities, it is possible through collective bargaining to make sure we also benefit our community by producing Electricity from the waste emmited from our homes. Electricity is a resource which if well used can improve our livelyhood and is readily accessible through proper waste management systems. Clean surfaces and spaces are ideal for growth of families it creates great hub for innovation when we have neat and we'll managed space. The president ought to set up commission of enquiry on how best to dispose waste emitted from our homes and how best is to utilize it

So true! Organisations need to work for years to establish trust in people, but all of us have at least 10 people who trust us - so if we use our voice to teach them about what we can do to solve the climate crisis we can make a real difference - especially if it spreads to the next person and the next!

Walking in the dark allies of any city in Africa it's a norm to find heaps of wastes which has been neglected composed of all manner of wastes products and materials. The awful odour being emmited hardly goes unnoticed, noting that children and vurnarable members of society are likely to get inflected creating an influx of people visiting health facilities which are already overwhelmed with covid cases. The discussion need to start as early as yesterday of how city management can be Educated on how best to manage the waste by recycling it rather than burning the waste which increases the influx of unwanted gases and chemicals in the atmosphere. We can't achieve the above without engaging the 75% of the population which is made up of the Youth. Awareness need to be propelled to these generation which is capable of coming up with innovative ways of handling wastes for cleaner cities. The neglect of initiatives to use the youth will cost us dearly as they are the current and future of Africa leadership we need the Action taken now! Respiratory infections are on the increase Children are dying daily due to the neglect of taking care of our waste in our cities. Ministries of environment and forestry in Africa need to wake up before it's too late to Act. The number one priority is to create awareness to our young members of the society about the effect of unmanaged waste in our environment. It is not Okey to have undisposed wastes, It is not Okey to allow corruption in waste management to crip in ....We must Act now. Like Nobel laureate Wangare mathai said, We can all do something small to help. With our youth as a resource we can do it #livingincleancitiesisaright

75% of the world population is made up of the youth, this is a great human resource which if well utilised can help the world with clean energy and environment friendly practises that would propel the recovery of nature. Youth leaders can be mobilised to help with the course by coming up with innovative fun activities that will attract the youth to the programs of creating the awareness that is surely lucking, amongst ourselves as youth we have great ideas and solutions which If well utilised we can change the mindset of the world on why we are saying 'we don't have time' . Africa continent is blessed with great climate which means it would be easier to reach the forest cover needed by planting more indigenous trees with the help of our youth who would benefit with time The youth with better equipment and knowledge can be the Trailblazer of ensuring we live in a safer environment with constantly Checking on other innovative ways of making renewable energy.
