PARTNER UPDATE Providing digital tools that enable companies to measure, reduce, and offset their carbon emissions, climate tech company Planetly has its sights set on a net-zero economy. We Don’t Have Time recently interviewed Co-founder and Chief Customer Officer Anna Alex to find out more about how Planetly is helping businesses make the transition. Planetly’s mission is ‘to enable businesses to successfully transition to a net-zero economy.’ How are you doing this? “In order to really make a difference in the climate crisis, we need to not only measure our emissions, but also manage and reduce them. And since we can only manage what we can measure, the first step is always to have transparency over our own carbon emissions—in a standard-compliant way—and track changes. With our software, the Planetly Climate Impact Manager, we enable businesses to do exactly that.” How does the Climate Impact Manager work? “Planetly’s Climate Impact Manager enables companies to holistically manage their CO2 emissions. They can transparently understand and reduce their own carbon footprint and offset any residual emissions. What was previously approached with the help of complex and static Excel spreadsheets, Planetly solved with software and technology to be able to scale faster and generate more impact. Our user-friendly software makes data collection easier and more accurate. We offer a wide range of interfaces and integrations to automate the calculation of emissions in real-time. With the help of a variety of analysis functions and benchmarks, clients can quickly identify emission hotspots and derive reduction potentials. At the same time, our technology setup allows companies absolute flexibility and scalability as they grow.” What kinds of companies are using Planetly’s tools? ”Planetly works with companies across all industries. Our clients already include major international consulting, retail, and e-commerce, as well as technology companies including The Economist Group, BMW, HelloFresh, and Kärcher.” Why did you decide to partner with We Don’t Have Time? ”Collaboration and exchange are key in taking climate action. With its formats and global reach, We Don’t Have Time is the ideal platform to start the climate dialogue and reach industry leaders and companies. We want to continue to create awareness for the importance of climate action and sustainability and to hear from others. Together we can take climate action to the next level!” And how are you utilizing We Don't Have Time to further your net-zero mission? ”By sharing content about carbon and ESG [environmental, social, and governance] management and broader sustainability strategies, we want to create awareness about the importance of those topics. In addition to sharing knowledge, we also want to highlight best practices from our customers and partners and to actively start a dialogue with people on the We Don't Have Time platform. After all, climate action is a joint effort.” What’s your message for anyone reading this who wants to build toward a net-zero economy, even if they’re not an ESG decision-maker at their company? ”Everyone can make a difference! If you are working in a company just ask at the next all-hands meeting what your carbon footprint is. Or if you are an investor, start monitoring the carbon footprint of your portfolio. With the Planetly ESG Portfolio Manager, we are offering an easy solution for funds to do that.” What’s your recommended next step for anyone wanting to learn more about carbon management or ESG overall? ”You can join us at Trustweek by OneTrust. We will talk a lot about ESG and sustainability and how it helps companies to become a trusted company. And we have four stops: London, May 9-12; Atlanta, May 23-26; Melbourne, June 7-8; and Sao Paulo, June 21-22.” https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NFpx2Xvd5g0&list=PLFh8n9dEN1ZL_sKwRxNmzwb-7vqcE0Tm6&index=33 Watch this interview with Anna Alex, conducted by We Don't Have Time's Nick Nuttall during NOAH Zurich, December 2021. Are you participating in Veganuary this year? 🌿 Ever since the campaign was launched in 2014, it has already saved: 💚 103,840 tonnes of CO2 from being emitted 💧 6.2 million litres of water from being wasted 🐄 3.4 million animals from suffering Cutting down on meat and other animal products has a big impact on the reduction of emissions - as you can also see in the graph below. So why not try it out together with your colleagues - or maybe even your entire company? 🙂 P.S. Veganuary can also be done during February (or the rest of the year) 😉

Did you know that the fashion industry is one of the eight supply chains responsible for more than 50% of global emissions? And since supply chains in the fashion industry are generally long and quite complex, many companies also have a very limited influence over the activities of their manufacturers. But don’t worry, it’s not as grim as it looks - there are already many great examples out there (hello there Patagonia, Allbirds, Helly Hansen, Stella McCartney and all the other great companies 👋) that you can learn from. 💚 In our latest blog post, we summarised what businesses in the industry need to do to become fashionably sustainable 👉🏻 https://lnkd.in/g3_GCTt5 #climateaction #climatechange #climatcrisis #sustainability #fashion #co2 #carbonemissions

Last week, our founder Anna Alex spoke at NOAH Conference about the importance of carbon transparency for companies globally. "We make it as easy as never before to understand your carbon footprint and the carbon footprint along the whole value chain so you can gain a deep understanding of what consequences your decisions and behaviour have on the environment" If you missed it or couldn't join the Conference, you can watch the interview here: youtube.com/watch?v=NFpx2Xvd5g0

Isn't it strange that companies know their marketing KPIs in more detail than they know their sustainability KPIs? Our founder Anna Alex experienced first hand in her first company OUTFITTERY how tedious and difficult it was to measure the company's carbon footprint. Planetly's software automates this process, enabling businesses to measure and manage their carbon footprint and to turn insights into action to reduce emissions long term. Do you know your company's carbon footprint? https://youtu.be/D03MvNw9rwY
