Water shortage was last year a pressing topic, and with global warming becoming worse, it is likely that heat waves are becoming more and more common. As we can only survive very briefly without water, it is important to prevent fresh water shortage. One way to achieve this is creating freshwater from waste water at home. Wastewater coming from activities at home, such as washing clothes, bathing, washing hands, and washing cars is called gray water. Reusing it is a great opportunity to reduce the need for water from natural sources such as lakes, and it also reduces the need for public sewage and treatment facilities. However, it is important that the resulting water quality is high, as water can contain 900 different substances that are not naturally available in the water. In this article, I explain 10 technologies that can be used to recycle gray water: https://medium.com/the-environment/10-technologies-that-allow-us-to-reuse-our-daily-wastewater-9ebc3c0541e4

HVR Water Purification’s pitch: HVR Water Purification is a deep-tech company built on decades of research. Focusing on the most radical water purification technology. HVR makes the safest drinking water available to achieve 99.9% purity in the most sustainable way by using waste heat. This state-of-the-art technology is based on the natural property of water to split into microparticles when it evaporates, even without boiling. Test results show that all natural and man-made contaminants are separated from water through our membrane distillation. This purification process needs only hot water and little electricity and works decentralised offgrid. Healthy, nutritious, tasty water "wherever you are, whatever the source".

Hi there - good idea! Can you say anything on how warm the water must be in order for this process to work?

I support this. I believe there needs a lot more water purification plants and research at this time around the world and in places like California where we are experiencing a megadrought that does not quit.

We must ensure the correct treatment of the water so that it can be reused and returned to the environment.
