💚MASSIVE MILESTONE - 1 MILLION HOUSEHOLDS 💚
Today we can proudly announce that over 1 million households have used ClimateHero's carbon calculator to measure and reduce their carbon footprint. These households have selected climate pledges promising to reduce their combined carbon footprint by 2.1 million tons of CO2 per year. This is equivalent to the emissions reduction achieved by permanently removing 1.4 million diesel cars from our roads.

WHY DOES CLIMATEHERO HELP HOUSEHOLDS CUT THEIR CARBON FOOTPRINT? ISN'T IT THE RESPONSIBILITY OF COMPANIES OR POLITICIANS?
ClimateHero's perspective aligns with the Exponential Roadmap initiative, backed by Johan Rockström and Christiana Figueres, showing that we can achieve the 1.5-degree target by halving global carbon emissions every decade.
ClimateHero believes that to gain momentum in this exponential transition, the entire socio-economic triad must interact:
- Legislators (politicians, authorities) - must correct where the market fails and set rules that encourage climate-smart solutions while penalizing environmental degradation.
- Producers (companies and the public sector) - need to take responsibility for the carbon emissions their products and services cause and transition to fossil-free solutions. Furthermore, they need to influence their stakeholders (suppliers, customers, partners, etc.).
- Consumers (You and I) - need to reduce our carbon footprints through lifestyle changes, resolutely demand climate-smart solutions (from producers), and democratically influence (legislators) to act.
