Apple ( malus domestica) a fruit enjoyed by Africans and Nigerians does not come cheap as it is expensive to purchase, neither has it been grown in Nigeria or most part of Africa due to climate and adaptability factors, and poor knowledge of engagement. In 2018 Nigeria imported 51,200 metric tonnes of apple worth $29.7 million making us the 47th highest importer of apple in the world. At proto premium agribusiness services (PPAS) we solve this problem by growing this Apple with our model technology that enable us nurture it at it's frigile state, making it adaptable to the climate condition during it growth and maturity stages. BUSINESS PROCESS We first extract the seeds from the golden green apples, and they undergo a technological sprouting which take 7 days, then planted in a temperature regulated sprouting enclosure during the nursery stages, then transferred to adaptation stages and finally they are transplanted to their new site, or sold to tree buyers. MARKET OPPORTUNITY Africa's apple market is worth $3.2 billion (foa, 2019) the segmented addressable market ((SAM) is 180.3 million customers while the segmented obtainable market (SOM) is 30.2 million customers. We intend to market the the fruit to major Apple importers directly, then fruit juice and wine producing companies in Nigeria and southern African countries. We shall also market wholesale marketers directly in a targeted marketing. To gain market entry for the trees we shall use social media especially Facebook and Instagram. We shall organize tree planting campaign targeted towards the elite in the society to sponsor the initiative while we contribute in cost production. We shall provide nurturing services to customers online or offline who buy the trees, thereby helping to sustain our market, increasing recommendation and referral for us. BUSINESS FORECASTING AND PLANNING We started off by carrying out a 1 year and 8 months experiment and that is from seed development (sprouting) to flowering and seed production, with results coming out positively for the time allotted to it. We then proceeded to the university of Agriculture, umudike, Abia state, Nigeria to carry out a control test to ensure our hypothesis were according to standard which also came out positively, from where we were given an advisory board for the expansion of the project into business scale population. Our business is registered with the cooperate affairs commission. BUSINESS ANALYSIS SWOT ANALYSIS With our level of experience home and abroad in making plant adaptable to different climate condition, and the lapses in knowledge around this in Nigeria and Africa at large, it gives us the opportunity and strenght to thrive, while failure of some sprouted seeds to develop may pose challenges. RESOURCE REQUIREMENTS To make this possible, we would need a deep freezer, apple grading machine, pruning machine, temperature growing bags, sprouting dishes and a 2.5kva generator. We will also need the services of daily care givers for a year and rent for sprouting apartment. We will also look to lease a land for plantation for 20 years minimum. This will give us a total cost of $24,610. The major drive that increased the cost is the amount needed to lease the land for 20 years. The remaining funds will be gotten from an investment firm.
