Revolution Wind has completed the installation of its final wind turbine. This project, a partnership between Orsted and Global Infrastructure Partners, represents a $6.2 billion investment in offshore wind energy. It will deliver 704 MW of power, benefiting Rhode Island and Connecticut. The project faced significant regulatory challenges but has now begun delivering power to the grid.
This completion marks a significant step for offshore wind in the U.S. Revolution Wind is set to save New England ratepayers up to $500 million annually in energy costs.
