Saving energy is an underrated and underreported solution to decarbonize our future. According to the International Energy Agency, increased efficiency could account for more than 40% of emissions reductions in the next 20 years.
To raise awareness and speed up the implementation of energy-efficient solutions Alfa Laval has joined the Energy Efficiency Movement.
This is great, since Alfa Laval has some truly great solutions to communicate.
Every year, newly installed Alfa Laval plate heat exchangers save 50GW of energy for their customers. That’s the same amount of energy that it takes to annually heat 10 million European homes. It also translates to a 25-million-tonne reduction in global CO2 emissions, which equals the annual emissions by the city of Paris.
Just imagine what impact this solution would have if it was spread and scaled worldwide.
