During a moose session, an idea was born that might conquer the world. At least the part of the world where there are hungry ungulates that like to eat pine cones. Five years and about 20 different prototypes later, the production of EcoTall is underway. It is a small hood that you put on the pine tops to protect the shoots from becoming food for moose and other ungulates. The material is described as a mixture of sawdust and starch but which still has a plastic-like surface. To make sure that moose really do not like EcoTall, they went to a moose park and tried to trick the moose into eating the top protection, but the moose did not let themselves be fooled. "For safety's sake, we made it yellow," says Fredrik Hjalmarsson. The company Skogstoppen Innovation AB is owned by Fredrik Hjalmarsson and his employer Plastinject in Anderstorp. https://ecotall.se/ (Use Google translater! ) Photo: EcoTall

We at EcoTall are thankful that our innovation have gotten a lot of acknowledgement and that our product is appreciated. Environmental consideration is very important to us. Our product protect spruce and pine shoots against sweet toothed mooses and are comprised of natural materials. EcoTall consists of a unique mix that is developed by us together with our suppliers. As long as EcoTall is on the plant, its lifespan is estimated to be 5-10 years before the material is weakened and breaks down from the elements of nature: sun, wind and precipitation. When touching soil bacteria, the EcoTall is decomposed to carbon dioxide, water and biomass and is returned into the natural cycle just like wood.
