The partnership brings together VATI of Sweden's expertise in education and ISO 26000 verification with ClimateHero's leading knowledge in climate calculation and footprint reduction. Through close collaboration, they have actively tested and validated each other's services, recognizing the tangible benefits that arise from the synergy of their combined expertise. Together, they strive to develop and offer integrated solutions that support companies and organizations in actively reducing and calculating their carbon footprints while ensuring increased transparency and credibility in their sustainability reporting.

ClimateHero obtains ISO 26000 verification from VERIFY Agency
ClimateHero has verified its self-declaration through Verify Agency and has become ISO 26000-verified. This verification is based on ISO 26000, an international sustainability standard that emphasizes organizations' social, environmental, and economic responsibilities. ISO 26000 is known as a guiding standard rather than a requirement standard, meaning that companies cannot certify against it. Instead, they can choose to verify their self-declaration linked to the standard, which includes global sustainability goals. The verification focuses on confirming the company's claims, such as sustainability reports and self-declarations, and differs from certification by allowing a clear illumination of the company's unique strengths and sustainability efforts.
By becoming verified, businesses' sustainability efforts can be presented in a more transparent and reliable manner, thus avoiding greenwashing. This will become increasingly important for companies as the market becomes more regulated, such as with the EU's new sustainability directive "Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD).

VATI companies calculate the carbon footprint with the help of ClimateHero
The EU's new legislation for sustainability reporting (Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive) makes it mandatory for large companies from this year to calculate emissions in their own value chain (including both direct and indirect emissions). This is important even for small and medium-sized companies that want to prioritize their own climate work based on a comprehensive analysis and communicate climate goals and progress to stakeholders in a transparent and credible manner. For VATI, it has been important to conduct this survey even though the company's carbon footprint is currently small.
