🍇 Grapes are the most pesticide-ridden fruit, so act for the good of the planet by drinking good wine!

I remember myself picking up grapes somewhere in Champagne-Ardenne to produce high-quality, small-scale and organic Champagne. I remember how tired we were in the fields, hard sun on our faces, the sweat and the heavy buckets. I certainly remember how cool it was to see the men putting on their boots and walking on this ton of grapes. Old-fashioned and delicious. Should I say, I also remember all the wines we had, all day long. 🤫 I didn't know, back then (10 years ago!) that grapes were the most pesticide-ridden fruit and that my experience was pretty unique, compared to the mass wine production and standard practices. Here is an emerging French brand I encourage you to support, Oé, offering B Corp Certified, pesticide-free, Organic and Vegan wines. We now know how to produce differently, in particular thanks to a rich ecosystem around the vines and in the soil. For example, with agroforestry, green manures, nesting boxes for birds and bats, plantations of lavender, olive trees, truffle oaks and beehives to encourage biodiversity in the vineyards. And that's what Oé is all about. 👏 Oé, it's also a passionnate team committed to responsible attitudes and choices on a daily basis on the subjects of deposits, zero waste logistics and the Oé programme for biodiversity. Their premises are also powered by renewable energy. And of course, with the good wine they offer. The only thing I need to know is, how's the taste? I think it's worth a try! 🥂 https://en.oeforgood.com/

Hello Aude, Thank you so much for your review ! It is always so exciting for us to see and hear from people that resonate with us. We are very proud to say that our wine does right by doing good ("fait le bien par le bon" in french), and is really good for all that matters :) More than a brand, Oé's team and winemakers work tirelesslly to go beyond being organic and pesticide free. Our main goal is to help biodiversity thrive again, and in order to do that, we strongly believe that every little step counts. As a side note, we wanted to share that we have a lot in common with you as Oé was born after Thomas and FX, our co-founders, realised that grapes are the most pesticide ridden fruit in France as it reprensents 4% of agriculture but 20% of all the pesticides we use. The fact that you had a similar epiphany made us really happy as maybe you will be the next catalyst for change in your own country, who knows :) Thanks again and don't hesitate to contact us at hello@oeforgood.com if you have any questions. We also wanted to share with you the link to a crowfunding campaign for one of our winemakers who is collectig money in order to have agro-forestery work done in his vineyards. The collect ends on May 30th :) Link to the collect : https://bit.ly/3Lihwv1

There is not only human health to take into consideration, pesticides are doing a lot of damages on the soil that is very important to realize. A conventional agriculture can destroy a land to the point that you couldn't make anything grow anymore. Also even if in low levels, if there is an option to not have it all, then I would enjoy my wine way more! I don't see any fear-based marketing here. Just simple facts about how the Oé wines are produced. And it seems to be produce with a lot of love.

I'm not able to find it at the swedish systembolaget. Maybe I can order it from somewhere else (or ask Systembolaget to offer it?)

It would be great if @systembolaget could add this brand on the shelves! I had a look, they are not so present in the Nordics, but they are in Copenhagen, in case you stop there. Probably you can order from their website and have it delivered here!
