Giving free courses on how to make stuff last

In todays societies people often buy new when something breaks instead of repairing it themself. This could be partly because things are not built to last like it used to be, and competitive prices for new things compared to letting a professional repair your stuff. But lack if knowledge on how to take care and repair things could also be a huge part of the problem. This is something that Clas Ohlsson and Blocket are trying to change by giving out free online courses to people "Home knowledge for millennials" on how to learn to take better care of their stuff. - To get more people to own and use their stuff longer, the knowledge of how to take care of your stuff needs to increase. It is knowledge that was previously self-evident, but which modern society in some cases has forgotten. We will change that now, says Tero Marjamäki, Sustainability Manager at Blocket. Great initiative by Swedish marketsite Blocket and hardware store Clas Ohlsson!
