Do you know the effect of climate change in your area ?
•
•
•

In Kenya, we are experiencing climate Change effects in many ways. Agriculture is one of them, dying of wildlife animals, rivers becoming dry,etc
•
•
99 w
Yes I do., Am from a country where we highly depend on agriculture so the change of weather patterns is threatening our food security

It's a good question ! Would be interesting to read the comments with people from different parts of the world... I don't much of its effects where I live (Stockholm) but I know that my hometown gets warmer and warmer, seasons are not the usual ones there (France). Pollution rates are very often high on these warm days, it is more and more that the city warns us. Surely i suppose there are other more subtle changes, like biodiversity declined.

Suggest some other alternatives which can be used in place of ACs and can help in lowering the surrounding's temperature....
•

Delayed cooking, baking, and kitchen chores until the cooler evening hours.such an African way but trust me the home remains extra cool.
•
•
101 w
I would say having greener spaces (trees, vegetation) around can help cool the streets and houses
•
•
101 w
Better insulation! I mean I guess having well-thought buildings and houses from the beginning must help, then vegetation around and being able to ventilate the place. But I am sure there are smart alternatives to AC that I don't know about

The recent news about climate casualty which I found while reading newspaper. Last week, a 70 something woman in Canada's British Columbia became the first person in the world to be diagnosed with 'climate change' after she was rushed to hospital with severe breathlessness and dehydration. Record temperatures have led to unprecedented heatwaves with over 500 deaths reported in northwest Canada. Raging wildfires have worsened the problem with air contamination at never before levels. I think countries need to go net zero by 2025 more than ever.

Worldwide shark populations are on the decline. Boosting their numbers could have a cascade effect to help sink carbon and make the oceans more resilient to climate change. Check it out here https://www.bbc.com/future/article/20211007-why-sharks-help-fight-climate-change-in-the-oceans
