https://www.mynewsdesk.com/uk/educcateglobal/pressreleases/3-pounds-trillion-teaching-teachers-about-climate-change-3095802 The first question should not be how much this gift is but concern the second. How do we upskill 100 million CC teachers and 10 million Transition Engineers in time to make a difference. Then you might get a feel for how great a gift this organisations vision truely is.

Invention The last engineering invention was in 1935. Frank Whittles jet engine ended a innovation stream where new step change machines and technologies defined the Industrial Revolution every 15 years. No one today would be able to name a single invention created in the last 85 years that might enable a new age in a Green Global economy. Our inventors are cast a shadows that follow us about in an eclipse of the sunlight we think of as the IT bubble we inhabit as the environment spins out of control due to Global Warming. BrandNewDay2020 greentech inventors came together to give voice to these dangers. We have many of the new solutions required to battle the carbon economy. We lack only the champions who wish to create such a vision We do have time.

I can think of several inventions in the last 85 years that can potentially contribute to a new age green economy. Nuclear power, solar panels, wind turbines, Geo-thermal power, better batteries, better electric motors, computer controls, satellites for weather/GPS/etc, hydroponics, global telecommunications, green building technology, and I'm sure I've missed many others. Every industry sees a slowdown in "major" invention as that industry matures. The less dramatic inventions continue. Look at your example, the modern jet engine is far, far more efficient and powerful than the early jets. Solar panels are getting more efficient and cheaper.
