Rick Fox is a three-time NBA Lakers champion and now a CEO of Partanna
Rick’s journey from the basketball court to the forefront of climate innovation was profoundly influenced by the devastation Hurricane Dorian wrought upon the Bahamas in 2019. Witnessing the impacts of this catastrophe, Rick was compelled to address the urgent need for climate resilience in his homeland.
Rick then founded Partanna, dedicated to changing the way we build, it is the world’s first building material that absorbs atmospheric CO2 (like a tree), and strengthens when exposed to seawater. Each Partanna house can absorb the equivalent CO2 to 5,000 mature trees, globally concrete is responsible for 9% of CO2 emissions.
