The EU needs to spearhead its policies to ban on new petrol car sales feasible as electric vehicles (EVs) remain unaffordable and alternative fuel options are not credible. A ban on the sale of petrol and diesel cars would be a boost to the makers of electric vehicles and shake up the vibrant auto industry. If a ban is introduced on the sale of new petrol and diesel cars, and they are replaced by electric cars, the result would be a great reduction in carbon dioxide emissions. https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&source=web&rct=j&opi=89978449&url=https://dunyanews.tv/en/Technology/806782-EU/%2527s-2050-net-zero-goals-at-risk-as-EV-rollout-faces-setbacks&ved=2ahUKEwif4Zf039eFAxXpSfEDHbbPC8UQFnoECBMQAQ&usg=AOvVaw0R9ht6D6Tfp6Vy9voq5QW-

A New York state agency said it had failed to reach final contract agreements with the developers of three major offshore wind projects. The projects affected include Attentive Energy One, being developed by TotalEnergies, Rise Light & Power and Corio Generation, Community Offshore Wind, backed by RWE and National Grid Venture. Development of offshore wind, an important component of climate plans and numerous U.S. states, has been hobbled over the past year by supply chain problems and rising interest rates, forcing multiple cancellations and billions of dollars in write-downs by major developers. https://www.reuters.com/business/energy/new-york-says-it-is-not-moving-forward-with-three-offshore-wind-farms-2024-04-19/
