By 2050 world's population is estimated to hit 10 billion which will have a significant increase in the demand for meat by 88% according to the world economic forum. To be able to sustain the current world's demand for meat 80% of the world's agriculture land is used for rare livestock for meat which has hugely contributed to land degradation, keeping livestock has enhanced the emission of methane which is a type of greenhouse gas that has contributed to the current climate crisis. Mosa meat is offering a sustainable solution to the meat industry by offering burgers made of cultured meat. This is lab-grown meat, lab grown meats are cultured in the laboratory using cells that are originally derived from live animals. The cultured meat uses few of the planet's resources and no animal need to be slaughtered in the process, this also has reduced the demand for rearing livestock which has limited the amount of methane gas released into the atmosphere by the animals which have aided in lowering the global warming temperatures. https://mosameat.com/the-mission
