Attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) is a group of behavioural symptoms that include inattentiveness, hyperactivity and impulsiveness in children. Research over the years has suggested that it is poor sleep in the children that is the cause. Professor Sandra Kooij, of VU Medical Centre in Amsterdam, said: ‘If you review the evidence, it looks more and more like ADHD and sleeplessness are two sides of the same physiological and mental coin.’ This gave me the idea of using my insomnia cure on ADHD as well, all the children it was tested on were soon given a clean bill of health. To get the sleep you get at the coast when the wind blows in from the sea just heat salt water in an oil burner overnight. In just five nights sleep problems are cured, and this takes with it all symptoms of mental illness. Sound too dangerous? Then heat the salt water during the day to simulate a walk by the sea side.

Global carbon emissions in 2023 - Nature Reviews Earth & Environment
Global CO2 emissions for 2023 increased by only 0.1% relative to 2022 (following increases of 5.4% and 1.9% in 2021 and 2022, respectively), reaching 35.8 Gt CO2. These 2023 emissions consumed 10–66.7% of the remaining carbon budget to limit warming to 1.5°C, suggesting permissible emissions could be depleted within 0.5–6 years (67% likelihood).

Instead of incentivising farmers and promoting food production which has lower emissions and is less polluting to the environment the EU continues to incentivise and subsidise the production of food which emits high levels of greenhouse gas and pollutes our rivers and waterways. It's difficult for Irish farmers- they've been told to produce more dairy and more beef, they've been funded to produce animal produce. They say that Ireland's land is only good for grass. Ireland has just secured the right to sell its grass fed beef internationally as a select product. But we are sending thousands of unwanted 8 week old calves to the Netherlands in trucks with no milk to feed them. The weather in Ireland is becoming wetter and we can't put cattle out or cut grass for fodder. Our waterways and lakes are dying from nitrogen. We must stop promoting beef and dairy and look to new ways to produce food. Farmers must be compensated and retrained to lead a transition to plant based food production. Ireland can grow beans like fava and plenty of vegetable crops. If you don't need land for grazing you don't need as much land... https://www.agriland.ie/farming-news/incessant-rainfall-causing-serious-issues-for-beef-farmers/
