Concept of minimalism Vs Paradox of Choice https://youtu.be/-UrSqHUnBG8?si=fFIs9jE9gAww_UsX this video of srijith gave an idea that if all companies reduces the choices then there can be lot of reduction in carbon emission, this is the minimalistic action we can do to save this earth, especially in apperal design. I think we don't have time should push this agenda. Apple and Sony follows this.
https://youtu.be/j1_odcVMToo Starting from Individuals to organizations can be part of it. Bringing equity for various initiatives to reduce emissions and living sustainably.

https://unccelearn.org/ is one of my most favorite learning website. I visited it just now, but I couldn't locate this app. Aworld.org is also an effort for acting now towards sustainability. This app is available in google play store. The owners stated that it works with UN agencies and other premier institutes. But I could not find a source which states that aworld is a product of un cc. Would please share the webpage with adequate information?

Mission accomplished even in a war
The war in South Sudan broke out six weeks after the Water for Eastern Equatoria Programme officially launched, forcing the team to rapidly adapt their methods to ensure the fulfillment of their mandate.

https://www.arte.tv/en/videos/089976-000-A/good-news-from-our-planet/ There are umpteen number of case studies brought together by arte, as I understand many of them are holy sites to visit for other countries to visit and replicate it. I found it interesting and I agree to their point that there is light at the end of the tunnel. Let's replicate as we don't have time.

We need such platforms to help in fighting climate change
This cow should be the Mentor for all. With huge areas of the globe getting devoid of fresh water, ot is important that man made lakes are increased as national assets to collect sudden deluges and natural lakes are protected. Rain water harvesting should be a must for all commercial and house hold to improve ground water levels, this is going to reduce the water vapor in air and hence green house effect. https://www.linkedin.com/posts/ravichandran-v_do-we-have-this-mannerism-activity-7040590742062321664-KAHX?utm_source=share&utm_medium=member_android it is interesting to see this cow closing the pipe after drinking water.

Recent data shows we only have 17 years until our fresh water supplies dramatically run short. One challenge is that the rain patterns are changing - less rain and in unpredicted places. We need to reconsider who consumes water; More water to crops feeding people and less to cows only to be eaten by people. That would also reduce methane emissions and reduce global warming and the excess heat our precious Ocean is absorbing would then be less (90% today), and our Ocean would survive the 2050 tipping point of a cidification. It’s all interconnected. Without blue 💙 no green 💚🌱

The idea of harvesting rain water is the best. Many areas receive excess rains which should be harvested for later date use in food production and domestic use.

If it is away from fossil fuel, its in the right direction
This is a famous bird sanctuary in India which was created in the upstream due to construction of a weir in river cauvery way back in 1640, it got protection from the local kings wodeyars way back in 1930s, so this is an example of a human intervention leading to positive effect on nature, the siberian species of birds fly 1000s of kms during winter to produce offspring and go back with their young ones to their origins during summer. It was a pleasure to see the whole food chain perfectly in balance. That is protected. You can really see 1000s of them chirping in sync. What a creation. Do visit this place very near to a historical place of Mysore in India. Dropping of birds nutritious for algae and fungi, these micro plankton are assimilated by different kinds of fish and then back to the birds for their food. To control over production of birds there are crocodiles waiting for them in a sleepy mood and we have local vultures to scavenge. There are also umpteen number of beautiful species of local birds at this place. It is a holy place for bird watchers.

Its amazing to see how human interventions pay in due time.
Nepal being a hilly region and gets rainfall in a small window during monsoon has to hold water for the scattered population so this action which Nepal has take is really great. No 2. This area being earthquake prone the trees avoids earth movement during light tremors and hence protecting lot of lives and live stock who are busy on the hill sides and roads. It improves the livelihood if the plantation is properly planned with cash crops. So increasing greenery is great from all respects. Thanks to the govt of Nepal and the people of Nepal making a greener dot on this mother earth. Kudos

Impressive. Such commitment is really commendable.
Water and sanitation does remove lot of social costs like good health and proper growth of the kids from the lower strata of society. This will help a long way to achieve equality in the society. Water conservation is another issue which is badly needed as our ground water us so depleted and is becoming green house vapors.

Did you know that the food industry generates ten times more carbon dioxide emissions than the airline industry? But with the launch of the Food Heroes toolkit by Electrolux Food Foundation, Worldchefs and AIESEC, we aim to play our part to help change this. This innovative toolkit is specifically designed keeping the young climate heroes in mind, empowering them to make a difference through healthy eating habits and food selection. It is here to make eating for the good of the planet easier than ever. The toolkit is now available digitally for teachers and parents to help kids aged 7-11 years learn how their food choices can make a difference. The Food Heroes toolkit contains materials and instructions for a 45-minute workshop based on the Unicef-supported project The World’s Largest Lesson. It helps children learn how their food choices impact the planet and what they can do for a greener future. The Food Heroes workshop teaches kids to eat more veggies, waste less food, and enjoy a diverse diet. ”We must understand that the choices we make when it comes to food have real consequences in regard to carbon dioxide emissions. Children understand this – they are not stuck in old habits that can be hard to lose. But it can be hard knowing exactly what to do. That is why we at the Electrolux Food Foundation want to give teachers and parents tools to inspire children to make a positive impact,” says Cosimo Scarano, Head of the Electrolux Food Foundation. Electrolux Group employees, Worldchefs and AIESEC members have held Food Heroes workshops since 2018, and so far 88,000 children have participated. Now the material is digitally available for teachers or anyone who wants to inspire kids to eat more sustainably. Here is what Alexandra Lindberg – a teacher at Johannes School in Stockholm – has to say about the Food Heroes Workshop, “The most important thing for me as a teacher is to use a material that is connected to what we do in the classroom but also has a connection to real life. The children are interested in sustainability and climate issues and to find material that enables us to talk about these problems in a relevant and interesting way is just great." The kids are ready for a sustainable and eco-friendly palette, are you? Let us know what you think about the Food Heroes toolkit in the comment field below. ABOUT ELECTROLUX FOOD FOUNDATION - Founding year: 2016 - SDGs in focus: #12 and #17 - 2 million meals donated since 2016 - +88,000 kids engaged in Food Heroes workshops since 2016 - Find the toolkit here
