Soon-to-be Dr. Strauss is a doctoral candidate studying behavioral science and human rights at Southern Methodist University with the goal of specializing in social change and impact. For over a decade, Strauss growing specialization has included her work on the impact of food sovereignty on health outcomes and climate impact for communities around the world. Currently, Strauss' focus has involved frequent grant making travel to nonprofits who demonstrate real impact through her leadership as the Executive Director of the Advocare Foundation. These travels includes urban farms, self sustaining community gardens and more. In 2023 Strauss shared her expertise on the Future of Food at SXSW stage and empowered the audience to make the connection between food access, sustainability and behavioural impact of community involvement.
