This is from a screenshot from a talk by the late Tony Lovell who worked tirelessly his whole life to promote the need for animals and land to be transformed like this. This water stops where the land is no longer managed by animals. More water is created in the soil by plant and bacteria activity than that which falls on the land from rain, but we need animals in the system able to be moved every day - so lots of land! With lots of people are being paid to do this. Please visit us at urth.io for how we are creating a funding model to pay for this.

All these images are from different deserts. All the images on the left were taken on the same day as the adjacent farms on the right. Same rain. Same soil, only more animals and regenerative management on the right.

This is the smoke from one of the largest bushfires just weeks before the pandemic broke out and it was forgotten. These fires are because the land is dry and is no longer managed by the government as funds no longer go to maintaining forests or getting the land in balance as the aboriginals once did. We need more people on the land and more animals. Come see what we are working on at urth.io

The sooner we stop burning fuel the more we can save.

This is a semi-desert country in Australia though it could be any desert area in the world. This one was regeneratively managed with wild camels! there was only one rain event of 250mm and an average of 40C temps most of the year yet with green on the ground the land was able to soak water down to 183cm/72" while the neighbours had a hardpan and flood. Hydrology is the key issue and funding farmers through new models is key. Please visit urth.io to see our solution and DM us if you know of any interesting funds ready to invest to see a pitch deck. changing huge tracts of land to resist drought, flood and pestilence through simple management changes is what we need first to start turning this earth ship around! At Urth.io we have the network of educators and the system to drive funds to them through the carbon market that includes looking after biodiversity. The planet can absorb double the carbon we emit but we must fund farmers to do this not expect they can afford to do this on their own!

This is a superb initiative! Yes the people we trust to grow food for us are the most affected by the climate crisis and they need the most help; to protect the land, provide the food and see they also saving us from turning our planet into an oven! Very best, I look forward to see Urth working with farmers to rebuilt and protect mother Earth.
