If you are now interested in our endeavor here are some of the technical characteristics that will help us achieve our goal and will eventually set the standards in this industry: 1.Full transparency Is at the core of our project and is achieved with the help of blockchain technology, a storage data solution that cannot be tampered with and will act like a double-edged sword providing undeniable proof for who is doing their part in the recycling chain and how much. We see transparency as an essential characteristic that eventually will identify the polluters big or small and will help put a stop to this massive planetary suffocation. 2. Centralizing data at every level Is now possible through the progress in scanning technology available in the automated collecting machines giving us for the first time the possibility to actually see the numbers, even by companies and type of packaging, and with the help of blockchain, those numbers will be unaltered and real. When was the last time we had this opportunity? Can you imagine if you can address the exact issue, by the smallest of details? That will be a real breakthrough! 3. Central and local authorities Bureaucracy will be reduced to the minimum, data availability will help them reduce research time and help make them more informed decisions based on actual data, not inflated numbers that show everything is “right”. We are sure that there are people in elected positions that will be highly interested in the type of transparent data we can provide. 4. Instant reward This is another characteristic that gives total autonomy to whoever is doing the recycling at whatever scale (small or big) to do as he pleases with his rewards. No mandatory purchases from a specific store, no free train rides, no vouchers, etc; you are the hero in your own story therefore you are the one rewarded and you should be able to do whatever you feel is a reward for your efforts. All you need to have is a smartphone with a blockchain wallet, simply scan the QR code after you’re done introducing the recyclable bottles in the machine that has our Convert Carbon system implemented as a payment option, and you are done. The tokens are in your wallet almost instantly. Convert them into cash, keep them as an investment, trade them, they are yours to do as you please. 5. Availability Is something that we are focused on as we don’t believe in privileges and we want everyone to have access and be a part of our journey. Sales are done only through our website at the moment, using smart contract only (we cannot focus on transparency without being fully transparent ourselves in terms of our economics) but soon will be available in some of the major exchanges, with all the benefits included.

In 2017, Henkel became the first major global consumer goods company to work with the social enterprise Plastic Bank. They are addressing both environmental and social challenges to reduce plastic waste. This partnership initiative of Henkel tackles the plastic problem and poverty as people living in coastal areas collect the plastic (stopping it from entering oceans) and trade it for money at the Plastic Bank. This initiative also makes it possible for Henkel to achieve its environmental targets like: 1. Make all packaging recyclable or reusable. 2. Reducing its reliance on plastic-based plastic by half. 3. Achieving zero waste in nature. Read: https://www.henkel.com/sustainability/sustainable-packaging/plastic-bank-partnership

Absolutely, developing solutions that are profitable and environmentally conscious is crucial. The more companies that spearhead these solutions and prove successful, the better. Equally important is developing new marketing strategies that take off globally. For decades, we have lived with a "bigger is better" marketing approach. Interestingly, packaging has become bigger, while contents contained inside have been reduced. An absolute scam and shamefully wasteful. It's time we took the approach of "good things come in small packages" and minimalist packaging (no need for a half empty tube inside plastic, inside a box). It's time for companies to have full capacity and full disclosure packaging, meaning contents can be seen, where possible, and a list of materials used in the packaging is displayed (just as a list of ingredients is currently listed) and the packaging FITS the contents included. Imagine the cupboard space, let alone a major reduction in garbage waste! Furthermore, imagine the cost savings for companies reduce their packaging by half or a third. Companies should consider vacuum sealing their products or using evironmentally safe stamping methods in place of paper or plastic labels. Many companies are returning to bulk size bottles with refill stations. Countless solutions that reduce cost, are successfully marketed, gaining popularity and have become profitable. I guarantee if these changes were implemented globally, we'd be well on our way to achieving our goals for 2030, 2050. Last, but certainly not least, we need governments on board. Regulations that are truly enforced and regulated. Good start for Henkel. Next steps will be to make the contents of their products environmentally sound. Check out Attitude of Quebec, Canada

The European Environmental Bureau (EEB) is the largest network of environmental citizens’ organisations in Europe. In its latest report (published on November 24, 2021), EEB & CE have warned about the hazards of delaying an EU proposal which is meant to restrict intentionally added microplastics in daily use products. This dealy would lead to increasingly uncontrollable rates of plastic pollution. EEB & CE insist that the proposal must no longer be delayed. The European Commission has confirmed that the proposal will be postponed until next year. This delay actually means emissions of around 42,630 tonnes’ worth of microplastics being emitted into the environment, which is equivalent to 1.6 billion plastic bottles being released into the environment, and is bigger than the Eiffel Tower. Microplastics (less than 5 mm in size) are often added to daily-use products like cosmetics and detergents. They are released into the water after we use such products. The problem is that these are almost impossible to remove once they reach our environment, the air we breathe, the food we eat, and the water we drink. They cause problems for biodiversity and nearly all life forms as they carry many contaminants and hazardous chemicals. The European Union’s intention to restrict intentionally-added microplastics dates back to 2017, but it has so far failed to come into fruition. Hemp is cannabis, but not the kind grown as a recreational drug. It has less than 0.3%THC, it doesn't produce a psychoactive effect when consumed. Rather, it is a sustainable crop grown for many different commercial and industrial purposes. "Beyond the Green believes that hemp must be on the agenda at COP26, the United Nations‘ summit discussing how to tackle climate change, due to its potential to decarbonise multiple industries and combat climate change through carbon sequestration, as well as its many uses including hempcrete, hemp paper, and as an alternative to fossil fuel-derived plastics. The festival, which is due to take place in nearby St Luke’s in Glasgow’s East End, will feature talks and discussions across the weekend by scientists and industry experts on hemp-based solutions for a greener, cleaner, healthier planet." https://cannabiswealth.co.uk/2021/10/14/beyond-the-green-hemp-cop26-agenda/ Please support this idea by pressing 'Agree' and sharing with others. Watch this video to learn how micro-plastics are making their way into our atmosphere and raining back down on the earth. We know that the consumption of micro-plastics are negatively affecting the health of plants and animals but what does this mean for us? Thank you Seeker for providing us with this complex information in such a digestible form (unlike micro-plastics.) In order for us to solve this serious issue we must first begin to understand the complexity and extent of the problem. So we now know that we must not only sequester carbon from our atmosphere but we must also remove the airborne micro-plastics and learn how to reduce the the constant flow of micro-plastics making their way into our atmosphere, the air that we breathe, the water that we drink and the food we eat. Obviously the best thing we can do as individuals to contribute to the solution(s) of this enormous, seemingly insurmountable problem is to reduce our use of plastics particularly that of single-use plastics, opting for sustainable alternatives and putting pressure on the businesses and companies that provide single-use plastics to adopt natural, sustainable, non polluting alternatives. https://youtu.be/R4MyifvlfbY

Micro-plastics and other plastic waste are one of the reasons why humans need to invest in a proper circular economy on an INTERNATIONAL scale. And, of course, not all plastics break down into micro-plastics so we need to do more research into alternative materials which do not contribute to the micro-plastics problem. And finally, humans need to legislate to control the use of problem materials that break down into micro-plastics.

GET INFORMED ABOUT RECYCLING Contact your city government to find out about the curbside recycling programs that exist in your area. Local recycling companies will let you know what is recyclable and how the collection process works. USE RECYCLING BINS Place a recycling bin in your home to collect used, recyclable plastics. INCLUDE BOTTLE CAPS Remember to leave the caps on your bottles. Many recycling facilities recycle caps! Contact your city government to find out details for your area. KEEP IT DRY AND CLEAN Keep your recyclable items dry and clean. Remove leftover products such as soda or juice from plastic bottles with a quick rinse. Items that are wet or that contain leftover products can contaminate the other recyclable items. LEAVE IT OUT If you’re unsure about whether an item is recyclable or not, check with your local recycler or leave it out. Some non-recyclable items such as medical waste, propane cylinders, paint, and chemicals can be dangerous or can contaminate the items that are recyclable. DON’T BAG RECYCLABLES Bagged recyclables pose a risk of contamination from potential substances inside the bag, and therefore are sent to landfills. The bags themselves can also get caught in sorting equipment. SPREAD THE WORD Initiate a conversation with family and friends to spread the word on recycling at home and in the community so we can all be part of Recycling Worth Repeating!™ REACH OUT FOR ANSWERS Still not sure? If you have additional questions about how to recycle in your area, reach out to your city government or recycling facility for further answers. Well organized and structured, Convert Carbon strives to deliver a whole new perspective to the recycling industry and the impact that one can have on his immediate surroundings and income. By introducing blockchain technology and a token rewarding system, we aim to bridge the interests of everyday people, merchants, manufacturers, and state institutions. Our platform aims to be the “go-to” place for all the parties involved in the recycling cycle. Why Packaging? Why is packaging necessary? Lab grown meat is now becoming a reality as it moves from the lab towards industrial scale production! Don't let the term 'lab grown meat' put you off though... after all, most of the processed foods that the majority of us consume today also began in the lab. (Food is science) This Israeli company makes scalable cell-based meat production a reality. Future Meat Technologies production line supports its efforts to create a more sustainable future. The cost of cultured meat has decreased dramatically since Dutch researchers revealed the first lab-grown burger in 2013. However, it still costs more than animal meat — and until manufacturers can get the price down, most people will prefer the cheaper of the two options. Future Meat’s new facility is capable of producing more than 1,000 pounds of lab-grown chicken, pork, or lamb per day, and beef production is expected to join the mix soon. By scaling up its cultured meat production to this level, Future Meat hopes to cut costs and entice more people to try its sustainable meat. "Sustainable Cultured Meat Technology Future Meat Technologies created lines of animal cells that grow forever without any genetic modifications. We removed the need to slaughter chickens, cows, lambs or pigs for the delicious food we eat, and made sure our products are uniquely non-GMO. Our proprietary technology reaches yields that are 10-times higher than industrial standard due to our unique media rejuvenation process, that actively removes waste products allowing animal cells to naturally flourish. This results in a significantly lower capital investment and production cost. Meaning, our technology is uniquely scalable by design. Rising to Meet the Challenge Meat has been an integral part of our culture since the dawn of humanity. We crave meat, and celebrate it. However, meat production has become unsustainable. Animal agriculture utilizes over 80% of the world’s habitable land, 30% of our freshwater supply, and is a major driver for deforestation. Growing population and dietary changes are predicted to lead to scarcity and escalating prices." https://future-meat.com/ Meat Done Right = 80% LESS GREENHOUSE EMISSIONS + 99% LESS LAND USE + 96% LESS FRESHWATER USE + 100% SAME NUTRITIONAL VALUE + 100% LESS ANIMAL SUFFERING I can not wait to see this meat production system replicated and implemented worldwide. Please don’t discount the importance of this solution just because you would rather not eat meat at all… I am also vegan and wouldn’t eat cell based meat because I know that plants will always be healthier for me, however some people enjoy pleasure over perfect health and this is a way that they can do so without undermining the very food system, destroying our planet and enslaving billions of animals to a lifetime of suffering. I believe that this is the only way that will truly eradicate animal agriculture.

Dear Woolworths, Fruit stickers are used to identify fruits of all kinds. Usually they are made from plastic and do not naturally break down into the earth. These small stickers create a huge problem! When you are cutting up a whole lot of fruit it is quite easy to miss a sticker here and there. As we are all beginning to compost more and divert our organic waste from landfills unfortunately these stickers do not biodegrade and therefore are polluting our soils or commercial compost. It occurred to me when I was digging in the garden and found a number of fruit stickers which my Grandad would have accidentally put through the compost 10+ years ago. These stickers I found in the soil appeared as though they had been recently removed from the fruit, when in actual fact they had been in the earth for over a decade without showing any evidence of decomposition. This is not only a problem for home compost but also for larger commercial composting facilities. What I would like to suggest, is that if we can’t eradicate these fruit stickers... then we should at least make them compostable, then it wouldn’t be an issue if they ended up in our soil as they would break down naturally! Two viable alternative solutions to plastic fruit stickers include: -Compostable paper or bioplastic sticker https://www.purelabels.com -Tattooed/Laser printed fruit https://www.laserfood.es The UK has pledged to ditch the fruit sticker: https://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/2019/12/17/end-apple-sticker-major-supermarkets-say-will-ditch-labels-part/ Let us not only make the pledge, but implement the solution ASAP and keep our soils free of plastics! "The future, remade. Our new products are made from our old products, which are designed from the start to be sent back when they are worn out. This is the circular economy for clothing. Every year 100 billion new items of clothing are produced while a truck full of clothing is burned, or buried in a landfill every second. Slowing fast fashion down is a good first step, but slowing it down won't stop it. Yet when we take the waste material at the end, and make new products from it at the start, it changes everything. That's what we've done. Our products and packaging are made from natural materials, not plastic. And every product we make is designed to be sent back to us when it is worn out. We make new products from the material we recover, and the cycle itself is renewable. Our products are designed to be returned and remade, new from old, again and again and again. A pure material makes remanufacturing possible, and means products that are softer, and not harmful to the environment." - https://teemill.com/circular-fashion/ Follow the product journey, seed to shop: https://teemill.com/the-journey Who would love to see We Don't Have Time come out with a range of sustainable merch? Turning our waste into a resource at BINGO, they’re committed to keeping our waste out of landfill through their advanced recycling centres. They are investing in new technology to increase recovery rates - plus they process materials for resale and reuse. That’s good for the environment and good for business. Landfill diversion is all about turning waste into a resource, by keeping materials out of landfill and recycling these for a new purpose. The measure of how much waste is recycled or recovered and doesn’t end up in landfill, is called a diversion rate. At BINGO, they’re targeting diversion rates of greater than 75% and they’re achieving this through investing in new separation technology to increase resource recovery. BINGO independently verify their diversion rates – this is industry leading. As part of their “beyond compliance” approach, they commissioned asset auditors Arcadis to undertake an independent verification of resource recovery rates. The five materials they reprocess are: Brick & Concrete Steel Timber Green Waste Paper & Cardboard The products they produce from the recovered materials: Road Base (Base material: Brick & Concrete) Scrap Metal (Base material: Steel) Mulch (Base material: Timber) Compost (Base material: Green Waste) Recycled Cardboard (Base material: Paper & Cardboard) The materials that they recover create a closed loop material flow that feeds back into the building lifecycle. They are used for civil works, infrastructure projects, landscaping, residential and housing. https://www.bingoindustries.com.au/sustainability/environment/diversion-and-circular-economy We would love to hear more of BINGO INDUSTRIES plans to move Australia towards a circular economy, please join our community on We Don't Have Time. 💚♻️ https://youtu.be/R_pqcIQZ3-s

What do they compost into? How many commercial composting facilities are there? Is that a profitable business? Is there any value in mulch? PLA contaminates regular PE recycling which is not good. Burning PLA for energy creates CO2, how is that a solution to climate change? Home to the cassowary and Bennett’s tree kangaroo, the Australian Daintree Lowland Rainforest in North Queensland is the oldest living rainforest on the planet, with an unbroken evolutionary history going back over 120 million years to the first flowering plants. Let's not change that now! 💚🌏 Rainforests provide habitat for more than half of all species. They regulate weather patterns, sequester carbon from the atmosphere and provide vital ecosystem services upon which humanity depends. The Australian Daintree Lowland Rainforest is one of the oldest rainforests on Earth having survived undisturbed for over 120 million years. It holds exceptionally high biodiversity and conservation value and is the largest continuous area of tropical rainforest remaining in Australia. Rainforests once covered much of eastern Australia, however, as conditions became drier the rainforest contracted and today the Daintree provides a refuge for many unique species. The Bennett’s Tree-kangaroo, Musky Rat-kangaroo, and the Southern Cassowary can be found here, as well a number of endemic plant species that have retained the same primitive characteristics of their ancestors. The flora of the Daintree contains an almost complete record of the evolution of plant life on Earth, including extremely ancient flowering plant families found nowhere else. Australian Cassowary Cassowary Facts - Did you know that although a little shorter than the emu, the southern cassowary is Australia's heaviest flightless bird. - The southern cassowary is an important rainforest gardener, spreading the seeds of rainforest trees. Sometimes the seeds are so large that no other animal can swallow and disperse them. - A number of factors affect southern cassowary survival. The major threats include the loss, fragmentation and modification of habitat, vehicle strikes, dog attacks, human interactions, pigs, disease and natural catastrophic events. Its conservation status is listed as ‘near threatened’ largely due to the fact that it occupies such a small area in the Daintree Rainforest. This is yet another reason why we must protect the ancient Daintree Rainforest as it is the only habitat suitable for the Australian Bennetts tree kangaroo. We took this photo on Lot 21 Camelot Close at Cape Tribulation. We are now raising funds to purchase and protect Lot 21 Camelot Close with our nonprofit partners HalfCut. See more information here: https://www.rainforest4.org/daintree_buyback_lot_21 Boyd's forest dragons spend the majority of their time perched on the trunks of trees, usually at around head height. Boyd's forest dragons are sit-and-wait predators, catching prey that they spy from their perches, although once on the ground, they will frequently move over a wider area, catching prey as they go. HalfCut Fundraiser Thank you to everyone who has supported our 2021 #HalfCut Fundraiser so far, together our team managed to raise $6533 - protecting 2613 square meters of the Australian Daintree Rainforest! https://go.halfcut.org/reverseindustree Joels HalfCut Fundraiser https://go.halfcut.org/joel-courtidis Presented so clearly in the graph below, if we all continue to consume less and less animal products we will begin to greatly free up our agricultural land for reforestation while also increasing human health and reducing greenhouse gas emissions. We must protect our planet from further deforestation, beginning with the worlds most ancient rainforest, lets save the Australian Daintree!

Another Honest Government ad by The Juice Media: https://youtu.be/MSZgoFyuHC8 It always amazes me how well you are able to shed light on such deep and complex issues in such a funny and sarcastic way without taking away from the seriousness of the issue at hand. I believe that the way you convey your message is a very fun and powerful way to empower the people with the truth… inspiring your viewers with a more constructive outrage and inspiration to take action and of course doing it without boring us to death! I love it! 💚 Well done guys 👏 Keep up the great work!

Spirit of Tasmania have announced that they will be making the shift to some brand-new ships which they have on order from Rauma Marine Constructions Oy, they will boast eco-friendly, dual-fuel engines crafted by Wärtsilä. Although these new ships will initially be using LNG - Liquid Natural Gas, which is not the most sustainable fuel option, at least the engines are 'future proofed' to operate on alternative green fuels as and when the availability evolves. We would love to know what type of 'alternative green fuels' the ships would be able to use in the future? “Our goal is to be a pioneer in environmentally sustainable technology in shipbuilding, and we want to provide vessels to our customers accordingly. The LNG-powered engines play an important part in building two new eco-efficient and future-proof vessels for TT-Line,” says Jyrki Heinimaa, President & CEO of Rauma Marine Constructions. The scope of supply includes, for each ship, four Wärtsilä 46DF dual-fuel main engines, three Wärtsilä 20DF dual-fuel auxiliary engines, and two Wärtsilä LNGPac fuel storage, supply, and control systems. The engines are future-proofed to operate on alternative green fuels as and when the availability evolves. The new ferries will have a capacity of 1800 passengers and approximately 2500 lane metres on two freight decks. The first vessel is scheduled for delivery by the end of 2023, with the second one due a year later. It’s not enough to just cut emissions with a new ship design. You have to make sure that you’re also using the lowest-emitting materials in the construction of your ship.https://nerdle.onl/

"Today, we are celebrating an incredible win for our client the Bushfire Survivors for Climate Action, as the NSW Land and Environment Court ruled that the NSW EPA has a duty to address greenhouse gas emissions and climate change. It is the first time that an Australian Court has ordered a government to take meaningful action on climate change. "What this means is that the court has found the NSW EPA is compelled by its own legislation to seriously address the state's greenhouse gas emissions and climate change," EDO Head of Legal Strategy Elaine Johnson said. "This Australian legal first is a major step forward in holding government to account on climate policy." “We’re here to help you become the healthiest version of yourself, all while lightening your environmental footprint. Delivering meals with a conscience, we’re here to guide and inspire you on your plant-based journey - because ‘plant-based’ isn’t a diet - it’s a lifestyle. Our ever-growing, innovative menu makes living the plant-based life easy, and an experience you’ll want to soak up. Eat more plants and you’ll be doing your bit for the planet, helping to: Save water 15,000L of water is required to produce a kilo of beef; only 322L of water is required to produce a kilo of vegetables (UNESCO-IHE). Lower carbon emissions Animal agriculture contributes to approximately 18% of all greenhouse gas emissions (releasing more greenhouse gases than all forms of transport combined). A plant-based diet will cut your contribution to carbon emissions in half (Science Magazine). Protect farmland Over 80% of agricultural land is used for animal farming, which provides only 18% of the calories we consume. A plant-based diet requires 76% less land use than animal farming (Science Magazine).” https://www.soulara.com.au/our-mission We absolutely love your sustainability and ethics! 💚 The only thing we would suggest for Soulara is that they look for a more sustainable ‘plant-based’ packaging alternative, something which we would be more than happy to assist with as we know how difficult it can be to find a suitable, sustainable food packaging alternative. 🌱

"We were started with the vision that the sunglasses industry could be something different. There were enough cheap, generic plastic shades out there polluting our oceans. Maybe it was time for something sustainable, something eco-friendly and beautiful from start to finish. The people agreed, and we met our 2012 Kickstarter goal in 3 days! 2500 days later the idea of sustainable eyewear seems to have taken root and grown like, well, bamboo! BAMBOO Bamboo is naturally lightweight, strong, and antibacterial, ideal for something that rests on your face all day. And growing bamboo is remarkably low impact: it takes less room, grows faster, and requires less replanting, fertilizer, and water. Despite this, bamboo forests produce more oxygen than traditional woods. Bamboo can't quite do it all though and with the introduction of our watch collection, additional sustainable materials were needed. So we used bamboo where we could and balanced the natural beauty of its wood grain with sustainable Portuguese cork as well as recycled metals. GIVING BACK The concept of "fashion with a purpose" was a cornerstone of our founding philosophy and it remains central to the work we do today. We are determined to be a force for good, both for people and the planet. For each and every product we sell, a portion of the sale will be donated to charities to help those in need. We ensure that every dollar spent here is a step towards a better world. Our global charitable network is ever-growing, but here are a few highlights: We're a proud member of 1% for the Planet. We helped Optometry Giving Sight screen nearly 4 million people, deliver more than 27,000 pairs of glasses, and support 16 optical labs and 116 optometry students in 39 countries. We’ve supported 12 microloans in 10 countries through Kiva. We've helped Pencils of Promise change the lives of nearly 100,000 students. We're helping the Washington’s National Park Fund to protect and nurture some of the most beautiful forests in the Pacific NorthWest. We offer all our customers the opportunity to help offset the environmental costs of shipping through our partnership with One Tree Planted." https://wearpanda.com/pages/about-us https://youtu.be/x8yJfQnDetE

"The combined output of rooftop solar and large scale solar farms exceeded that of brown and black coal generation for the first time in Australia’s main grid on Sunday. According to energy analyst Simon Holmes a Court, quoting the OpenNEM data feed he helped establish, solar exceeded the output of coal at 12.35pm on Sunday, delivering a combined 9,427MW, or 41.2 per cent of demand, compared to coal’s combined 9,315MW, a combined 41.1 per cent. It’s a significant landmark, reinforcing the scale and pace of the energy transition that has forced Australia’s two biggest utilities – AGL and Origin – to all but abandon the concept of coal generation as necessary “baseload” as they seek to adapt their legacy business models to wind, solar and storage technologies." And yet, if you listen to the Liberal party spin doctors talking through their good friends in the Murdoch media, we in Australia can’t possibly change the way we use resources. This result shows that we can start utilising the endless supply of energy from the sun and the wind to more than satisfy our energy needs and we can start transitioning away from fossil fuels.

Yes Australia could be the beacon of hope for other countries with wide spaces and huge inflow of sun.
