Angela Antle is the 2025 Rachel Carson Writer in Residence at Germany’s LMU and a member of Norway’s Empowered Futures. An interdisciplinary PhD candidate at Newfoundland’s Memorial University, her research intersects climate justice and communications, disinformation, petrocultures, and political rhetoric. A former CBC producer, her work has been recognized by The Canadian Association of Journalists, the Atlantic Journalism Awards, The New York Festivals, The Gabriels, The Gracie Allen Awards, The Nickel, Berlinale, Dublin and Wexford Film Festivals. Most recently, her writing has appeared in The Radio Doc Journal, theIndependent.ca, Riddle Fence, and The Newfoundland Quarterly. Her debut novel The Saltbox Olive will be published in spring 2025.
