A whopping 40,000 muscles are found within an elephants’ trunk making it not only extremely strong but also incredibly precise.
Capable of uprooting entire trees or carefully picking individual fruit, the two ‘fingers’ at their tip of their trunks are unique to African elephants whereas Asian elephants only have one.
