Romanian power company Electrica SA has launched a 27 MW solar project in Botiz, in north-western Romania. Sunwind Energy SRL, which was acquired by Electrica in March, is now managing the tender process. The project cost will be RON 110.1 million ($24.2 million) excluding taxes. Sunwind Energy is seeking bidders to choose the best PV modules to ensure reliable electric service for at least 30 years.
It's great to see Electrica, a Romanian utility, taking a step towards sustainable energy by launching a 27 MW solar tender. This move not only promotes the use of renewable energy but also contributes to reducing carbon emissions and environmental impact. It's a positive sign of progress and innovation in the energy sector, and it sets an example for other utilities to follow suit in embracing clean and sustainable energy sources.
