Did you know? 💡 UCODEA’s stove subdivision has promoted the commercialization of over 520,000 improved cookstoves in Uganda, offering technical and financial support to manufacturers, distributing stoves, and raising awareness among consumers. Improved charcoal cookstoves minimise fuel consumption, hazardous compounds exhaled during cooking, and charcoal consumption, alleviating pressure on Uganda's forest resources. 🌳 This has immediate benefits such as delaying soil erosion, destroying natural habitats, and reducing biodiversity loss. Women, who perform the majority of the cooking in Uganda, save time that could be spent on other productive chores by collecting wood. Improved cook stoves reduce charcoal use by 300 kilograms per year, saving each family about 110 USD, a significant amount given Uganda's per capita income of about 600 USD. 🪨 ✨ Join UCODEA in their mission to create social and ecological impacts in Uganda, visit us at
