According to thinktank Rethink X, Germany, Europe's largest economy, could reach 100% clean energy generation by 2035 by spending less than it currently does on fossil fuel subsidies and import, and if Germany can do it, it means that most, if not all of Europe's major economies could make the shift as well. It could. But there is still the FDP and their mission is to keep channeling the subsidies to the incumbents.
