Involving students in climate crisis mitigation

While we appreciate efforts being applied on climate mitigation focus to students who are custodia of this fight in future decision making are lagging behind. There is a need of supplementary books and school activities on climate change. Youths are many and constrating on them is a right decision in any intervention.

Great idea. It's crucial to involve students in climate crisis mitigation efforts as they are the ones who will inherit the planet and face the consequences of our actions. By educating and empowering them, we can create a sustainable future for all.

@walter_lungayi the curriculum should assimilate more on matters regarding climate in schools.

Involve kids in such activities and you'll nurture their love for the environment from a young age, you'll also help shape their career paths and make them better people

I feel schools mostly focus on basic and insufficient information and the only active solution they propose to help with the environment is to teach them how to recycle correctly. While recycling is good, it should be the last step. I feel it could be more beneficial to teach how to reuse and repurpose things, how important is to buy used and otherwise be intentional with buying. They could even have a lesson on how to read labels so to make conscious choices while buying. Let alone the school trips they could make to recycling facilities or farms to actually see where everyday things come from and where they go after they have been discarded. It could really be eyeopening

@gabriella_coppolecchia Your observation raises a valid point. While teaching recycling is important, addressing environmental issues requires a broader and more comprehensive approach in education.
