A very hopeful milestone. Now, let's start by turning off the coal plants. We need to scale down the problem and scale up the solutions. China is a leader in scaling up solutions. My dream is that countries will also compete to scale down the problem. We're not there yet.

The China Electrical Council's report forecasting that wind and solar capacity in China will surpass coal by the end of 2024 is a significant milestone in the global fight against climate change. The anticipated shift towards renewable energy, with wind and solar contributing 40% of installed power generation compared to coal's 37%, reflects a remarkable increase in the adoption of green energy sources. This transition aligns with international efforts to reduce carbon emissions and demonstrates China's commitment to a more sustainable and environmentally friendly energy landscape. The data suggests a positive trend towards cleaner energy options, marking a crucial step in the ongoing battle against climate change.
