Climate warning

Beijing records hottest June day since weather records began as heatwave hits China

Beijing logged its hottest June day since records began on Thursday, the national weather service said, as swathes of northern China sweltered in 40-degree heat. On Friday the capital upgraded its warning for hot weather to “red” - the highest in a colour-coded alert system - saying most parts of the city could roast in temperatures of up to 40 degrees Celsius (104 Fahrenheit). China has a four-tier weather warning system, with red the most severe, followed by orange, yellow and blue. According to scientists rising global temperatures are as a result of burning fossil fuels. This is a great danger to the nations in Asia continent as it continues to face deadly heat waves time and again. Action must be taken immediately to reduce burning of fossil fuels and mechanisms put in place to reduce greenhouse gases emissions. https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&source=web&rct=j&url=https://amp.theguardian.com/world/2023/jun/23/beijing-weather-hottest-june-day-since-records-began-heatwave-northern-china&ved=2ahUKEwiynp_7ltn_AhWoSvEDHSr4BQoQFnoECBgQBQ&usg=AOvVaw3xHALOoJP6iPe6nXyZb7IM

It is imperative for governments, businesses, and communities to prioritize climate resilience and work towards a sustainable and low-carbon future.

This is too sad, something should be done, fossil fuels is the major cause of this.

I think its high time china transitioned fully to renewable energy. This will reduce greatly carbon emissions which has brought about the hot seasons.
