Practical tips to reduce daily exposure to microplastics
There is evidence that microplastics may be associated with several diseases
10/04/2024 – Microplastics, small particles measuring less than five millimeters, are present in much of what we currently consume. Invisible to the naked eye, these fragments can be found in food, water, air and even in everyday items, such as cosmetics and clothing. A study by the University of Victoria, in Canada, revealed that the ingestion of these particles varies from 74,000 to 121,000 per year, depending on age, sex and consumption habits.
