As per the concerns raised Yes! as we organise for our clean up events we take time to teach participants the importance of waste separation and currently we are advocating for reparation at source, hope we shall achieve this very soon. We have also partnered with local recyclers to ensure what we pick is recycled mostly plastic waste. Thank you for sharing this important intiative. I do "plogging" from time to time, unfortunately, the jogging rather becomes walking since there is so much trash to pick up

One can concentrate on picking one waste material on every jog like plastic bottles, polythene bags, etc

A net-positive jog is a good jog! A version of this is to pick up trash that's floating in the water if you're in a lake or river while swimming!
