Considering that green energy is environmental friendly and more economical ..the government did good by lifting the ban.

The new UK government's decision to lift the ban on onshore wind power boosts green energy production, promotes sustainable development, and reduces reliance on fossil fuels. This move accelerates the UK's transition to a more resilient, low-carbon energy future. Oh goody!

@sarah_chabane_874 Yes most will agree this policy in particular had little to do with policy and economics and more with ideology and social conservatism. But not all they did was bad the almost complete coal phase-out from the UK National Grid and the country positioning itself as the world's leading country for offshore wind happened while they were in power.

@sarah_chabane_874 Reinvigorating onshore wind power not only accelerates the green transition but also creates jobs, reduces energy costs, and strengthens energy security for the UK. It is definitely a starting point

Great move. It reflects the government's recognition of the need to diversify the country's renewable energy sources and address the pressing challenges of climate change and energy security.

@walter_lungayi This shift also attracts green investments, fosters innovation in renewable technologies, and positions the UK as a global leader in sustainable energy.
