Here's an interesting read on the consequences of the big AI boom (and streaming, and general technology boom going on) happening at the moment: to continue its growth, Big Tech needs more and more datacenters, and the main barrier to this right now is not technology or money it's... power. Countries simply don't generate enough power to feed all of these datacenters, and as they struggle to grow their power infrastructure, the planet better hope that all of this new generation is renewable...
