Convert Carbon started off as a project for the future. Imagine a world where every individual recycles, where you get a QR code instead of a receipt, and where you use cryptocurrency instead of cash. This is something we are trying to create, reduce to the maximum the use of paper and plastic and support and motivate every individual to recycle, be a part of the community, be there for the community and the environment. Having this in mind, we started motivating people to recycle through our monthly contest because we really care about the planet. Since the start of the contest, we have supported the recycling of 6798 plastic bottles, which, according to recent public studies, these could be translated into 3039 kg of CO2 removed from the atmosphere. With this being said, did you knew that: ♻️ Recycled plastic can be used to make clothing. You can make a t-shirt with 5 plastic bottles and an adults fleece jacket with just 25 plastic bottles. That means we helped make almost 1360 T-shirts or almost 272 fleece jackets. ♻️ Recycling a single plastic bottle will save enough energy to power a lightbulb for three hours or more. This means we could have saved enough energy to power a lightbulb for 20.394 hours or 2.32 years. ♻️ Recycling five plastic bottles creates enough insulating fibre to fill a ski jacket. That means 1360 ski jackets. ♻️ With the removed CO2 from the atmosphere as a result of our contest you could actually drive Europe's 2020 most common car, the VW Golf for almost 26.900 km.
