Queensland Australia is now investing heavily in a green transition. One of the projects is the world's largest pumped power plant, which can be compared to a giant "water battery". This will be the biggest pumped hydro scheme in the world. The state will build dams that can store water equivalent to an output of 5 gigawatts during a 24-hour period. The pumps will primarily run off solar power so that the ponds are kept full, and water is released through electricity-generating turbines only during the night. – We know that people in Queensland understand climate change.
