Raising awareness around biodiversity and climate. StudiefrĂ€mjandet wants to give a climate heart to everyone who has participated in Tusen trĂ€dgĂ„rdar (A thousand gardens) throughout the years. Tusen trĂ€dgĂ„rdar was initiated by the gardening enthusiast Gunnel Carlson and is now run by Gunnel Carlson's TrĂ€dgĂ„rdsriket, Riksförbundet Svensk trĂ€dgĂ„rd and StudiefrĂ€mjandet. Every other year a thousand participants open up their gardens for gardening-loving guests. It is a variety of gardens â allotments, community-supported agriculture, private gardens, vegetable farms, palace parks and big city balconies. The common thing for all these gardens is that they benefit biodiversity â the gardens are oases for thousands of pollinators that play an important part in impeding climate change. We would therefore like to thank everyone who has participated by giving them a climate heart. Thank you for loving gardening and for inspiring others to also plant flowers and plants that bumblebees, bees, butterflies and other insects love. The next Tusen trĂ€dgĂ„rdar will occur on June 28, 2020. Everyone is welcome to show their gardens then. There are no requirements besides that it should be fun to display your garden. StudiefrĂ€mjandet gathers many associations, organisations, gardening enthusiasts and animal lovers that are interested in biology, the environment and cultivation.
