We compare an allocation to the Fund with common individual climate actions like flying less frequently, switching to a plant-based diet and living car-free for a year. And what we find is pretty remarkable. Allocating just £600 every year to the Global Returns Fund can be at least 100 times more effective at reducing atmospheric carbon dioxide levels than any of the other individual actions we considered. And the relationship between allocating and effectiveness is linear. A £300 allocation can be 50 times more effective, and a £1,200 allocation can be 200 times more effective.
