THEY MAKE RUBBER FROM BARK--BEGINS COLLABORATION WITH POLESTAR AND VOLVO.
A rubber that neither requires oil nor destroys rainforest soil. Impossible? Not for the startup company Reselo, which makes rubber from birch bark. Now they will explore areas of use in the automotive industry together with, among others, Polestar and Volvo Cars.
"It shows that the industry is serious about moving towards more sustainable materials, which is important for our existence," says Reselo's Josefin Larsson.

Is this s more sustainable way of making rubber? And if so, why are more organisations not adopting it or does it have limitations in terms of resources available

@munene_mugambi Good thoughts but you can read that they are in a start-up mode. The bark is a resource that until now only serves as fuel and can be used better in this way. You can also reduce the need for large rubber plantations in this way.
