FIJI WATER TRANSITIONS ICONIC BOTTLE TO 100% RECYCLED PLASTIC *IN CANADA.

FIJI Water, a natural spring water from the Fiji Islands, is furthering its commitment to environmental sustainability with the transition of its best-selling 500 mL and 330 mL bottles to 100% recycled plastic* (rPET), in the Canadian markets starting Winter 2023. This move is a significant step towards reducing plastic waste and replaces nearly 70% of FIJI Water's bottle volume worldwide with recycled material.** The company is committed to transitioning its entire bottle portfolio to rPET by 2025.The recycled plastic is used for the FIJI bottle but does not include the cap and label.
"In our transition to recycled plastic, we aim to make a truly meaningful and lasting impact," said Wai Mei Lee, Vice President of International, FIJI Water. "In using recycled plastic, we give new life to existing materials while maintaining the same great taste, look, and quality that consumers expect from FIJI Water."

They should stop selling bottled water (plastic) that's it. Recycled plastic is still plastic

FIJI Water's decision to transition its iconic bottles to 100% recycled plastic in Canada is a commendable step towards environmental sustainability. By reducing plastic waste and incorporating recycled materials, the company addresses concerns about the environmental impact of plastic usage. This move not only aligns with global efforts to combat climate change but also sets a positive example for the beverage industry. FIJI Water's commitment to transitioning its entire bottle portfolio to recycled plastic by 2025 underscores its dedication to making a meaningful and lasting impact on environmental conservation.

This is a positive step, but it should be seen as part of a broader and ongoing journey towards truly sustainable packaging solutions.

Thank you to Fiji Water for showing the world that this is possible. Plastic pollution has adverse effects to climate and a major hazard to our health, and having the plastics recycling would change the narrative.
