Plastic waste pushing turtles to extinction

A new study has highlighted the rising risk posed by plastic pollution to the endangered sea turtles in the country. A census by the Kenya Wildlife Service (KWS) along the coastline says the population of sea turtles stands at only 450. The reports say balloons, plastic bags, recreational fishing lines, and food wrappers are killing marine animals as they eat the items that later perforate internal organs, or become entangled and drown.

We should participate in coastal clean-ups and reduce plastic use to keep our beaches and ocean clean. Trash in the ocean can harm sea turtles and other creatures that live there.

@princess_nel_268 I agree, marine life should be protected with all it takes

And behind all the plastic is the oil industry. And gigantic consumer corps. How about a producer and product responsibility connected to global clean up of plastics in our oceans? Based on sales over the last 50 years and profit today.

Plastic pollution is a menace that if not addressed with seriousness and urgency it poses to be a danger to almost everything under the sun
