Yellow school buses going green

The US will spend nearly $1 billion to replace diesel buses with cleaner versions, including electric buses. 
The grants aim to protect kids from harmful air pollution while also curbing greenhouse gas emissions, writes The Washington Post.
The grants, to be distributed via the Environmental Protection Agency, will allow more than 280 school districts serving more than 7 million students nationwide to purchase more than 2,700 clean buses.
