For the third time the organisation WRAP, UK is organising its Food Waste Action Week between March 6 and March 12. And the theme this year is ‘Win. Don’t Bin, highlighting how valuable food is in our lives, how it unites people, and how using up everything we buy saves money, time, and the planet.
One-third of the food produced in the world is wasted 🚨 and households can have a real impact on this staggering number. And what's important to remember is that acting on food waste is a win-win situation for you, your wallet, and the planet.
The campaign this year wants to increase peoples’ confidence in using up leftover food by promoting a range of skills that can be easily adopted but potentially have the greatest impact on reducing food waste in the home.
Head to the campaign website for this year and take a very quick quiz which will give you access to personal tips that can help you take action:

This is one of the saddest climate change contributor bearing in mind that many people are affected by hunger yet we waste a lot of food. Again its something we all have the power to control and the amount of resources invested in food production and the food supply chain at large.
