The latest in #climatetech funding: The European Commission has approved a €450m Italian scheme to support renewable hydrogen production. 👏
🌍 As part of the Green Deal Industrial Plan, the scheme will support investments in renewable electricity and #hydrogen production in brownfield industrial areas.
🌍 The aid will take the form of direct grants covering investment costs, with a maximum amount of aid per project set at €20m.
✅ How does #energytransition and #greenhydrogen come together?
Renewable hydrogen production is crucial to decarbonise sectors where other alternatives may be unfeasible, and to support large-scale energy storage, which can improve the flexibility of energy systems, and help boost #energyefficiency in the EU.
We’re thrilled to see this new support mechanism to facilitate the green energy transition! More here 👉
