08/11/2024 – A study with the species Echinogammarus marinus, known for inhabiting European waters, demonstrated that the chemicals used in plastics are interfering with the formation of pairs of these animals during mating.
According to a study published in the journal Environmental Pollution, plastic waste in the oceans, in addition to disrupting the feeding of marine animals, is impacting the sexual life of crustaceans of the species Echinogammarus marinus, which are similar to shrimp.
